How long does it take to complete a full system recovery?

The computer was off after it asked me to remove the second recovery disc and restart the computer. I thought it was done and turned it back on, it says please wait while Windows finishes setting up the computer, then turns back off. How long does it take to complete? I'm in no rush, just looking for a general timetable. SO far it's been about an hour. Thanks
