Do i have a cancer lump?

I noticed i have a painful lump on the inside of my leg. It's kinda close to my genitalia so my worry is that it's thyroid cancer or testicular cancer. I could also have a cyst which would be so much better, but i would imagine cysts to not feel as hard when touched which is the cause of my worry. I have no medical insurance whatsoever so i'd like to avoid advice involving the doctor if at all possible. Thank you.
