Why does Obama try to appease the world?

He's a very smart man who is playing this political Game quite well. No one can appease everyone. I believe he is as true to himself as someone in his position CAN be. His advisors (not all of them good) help him sort out what to do in the final understanding of the moment. He can do no better. He Tries to lead us into evolutionary progress but is frustrated by archaic rules & attitudes. What would YOU do?
